How you can help

Make a donation

We are raising £5,000 to help the Ukrainian Support Community.

The funds we raise will support our community response which will include:

  • Providing welcome packs
  • Community based activities to support Ukrainians settling into our area
  • Signposting to local support services and employment opportunities
  • Transport to connect Ukrainians to local support services and employment
  • Essential items where no alternative provision can be found
In particular cases of hardship,  we are able to fund safe accommodation for Ukrainians, that are waiting for their visas to enter the UK, and are coming to stay with hosts in our group.

Your donation will make a significant difference to the lives of the Ukrainians coming to our community.

Help fill the shelves of our community shop

Thank you for bringing your donations to help our Ukrainian guests but the response has been so generous and plentiful that we can no longer accept any further donations for the time being, as we have run out of storage capacity.

To make donations to our Community Shop please tell us what you have on our contact form and we will let you know the best place to deliver your donation.

Thank you for your generosity

Our community is welcoming Ukrainian families with young children who will have desperate need for all kinds of goods from clothing to toiletries and toys.

A new community shop organised by the Ukrainian support community is preparing to open and will be a place where families can choose items for themselves – all of them free of charge. It’s a small contribution from our neighbourhood to show support and a warm welcome to people who have endured terrible suffering.

Can you spare any of the following:

  • Ladies and children’s clothing – shoes, welly boots, handbags, backpacks, jewellery
  • Nightwear – new pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers
  • Unopened toiletries – tampons, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, hair brushes, combs, make up, deodorant, razors, sun cream, child shampoo, toothbrushes in their packaging, toothpaste
  • Books – simple picture books for all ages (English/Ukrainian)
  • Toys and games, e.g. Uno, Connect4, jigsaws, washed soft toys etc.
  • Creative play items, e.g. Duplo, Lego, colouring pens, colouring books, paint your own mugs, make your own jewellery kits
  • Night lights for children’s rooms
  • Tech, e.g. old phones

Please note anything you donate should be in good condition i.e. clothes washed and ironed and soft toys washed or dry cleaned.
