We are a group of people living in the Chiltern Hills that have formed a community to help Ukrainian people, escaping from war, to settle in the Chilterns in the most welcoming and empowering way possible.
On this website you can:
- As a local resident – register your interest in providing accommodation, practical support or financial aid
- As a Ukrainian – learn about our community and how we can help you relocate
We are a community of villages with limited infrastructure. We have developed a coordinated community response, supporting guests and hosts and learning from one another.

Delivery of an Evacuation Vehicle
On 19th January 2024 Rory Stirling (nephew of your website developer) was part of a team that took a convoy of vehicles to Ukraine to be used by the frontline medical teams. Read the moving story of their journey.
On their convoy, they were lucky enough to be joined by Rob and Christine Parry, the parents of Chris Parry, a British aid worker killed in Ukraine.

The Lee Fireworks & Bonfire night
5th November 2023
Hot dogs, mulled wine, soft drinks were provided in the Lee for those that came to enjoy the fireworks and bonfire.
6 October 2023
We all had the most entertaining evening learning some traditional British folk dance dances. This was a wonderful shared experience and fitted so well with Ukrainian folk dance traditions.
Dancers each brought a plate of food to add the shared buffet supper and free drinks were provided.
